I am a huge fan of Palm Springs and I love taking the opportunity to work on events in the area whenever I can. When Kelly came to me, she was in the midst of her planning and had a pretty clear vision of what she wanted. She was already working with my good friend Danielle, over at Brown Paper Design, and I came in to tie up all of the loose ends.

Kelly had a beautiful palette of rich jewel tones that perfectly complemented the existing decor at Colony Palms. She had details that evoked a roaring twenties feel from the invite design to the bridesmaid dresses. And like every wedding that is laid out around a pool, she jumped in at the end! You can check out more on her wedding on Martha Stewart.

When Jamie first contacted me she was living in San Francisco and planning a Palm Springs wedding. We connected right away – we had a similar aesthetic and got along like old friends, so when she decided to change the location of the wedding to Park City, Utah and asked if I would be game to head out there, I said absolutely! Lucky for us, one of the best florists in the country lives in Utah, so I was thrilled at the chance to work with Sarah Winward and really excited for the wedding. Not only that, but Jamie selected Julie Song for her paper goods and I adored what she came up with – she is extremely talented.

Hotel Park City provided excellent service and the guests really enjoyed their time at the resort. Park City is a really special place and it was so great to see a different landscape with the beautiful trees and mountains, plus a killer farmhouse that served as a great backdrop for photos. You can see more of the wedding on Martha Stewart and on Carats and Cake.

Katie and Greg at Ojai Valley Inn

I absolutely loved everything about this wedding – the couple, the venue, the design! However, it had a bit of a rocky start as it was originally slated to be at a private ranch in Ojai and around five months before the wedding date, the venue got shut down due to neighbor complaints. Luckily, we were able to move the wedding to Ojai Valley Inn, which is a fantastic hotel and a dream to work at!

Since the original wedding was going to be held outdoors, we still wanted to do something a bit rustic so we brought in wood tables and fruitwood chiavari chairs to complement the woodwork in the ballroom. As a nod to the citrus in Ojai we used pixie tangerines as a fun detail that we were able to incorporate into the escort card display and the place settings. Katie’s dad also brought up a vintage car for Katie and Greg to drive away in. There were so many awesome details and you can see more of this wedding on Brides.comGrey Likes Weddings and Tulle Magazine.
